She finds herself slowing. Resisting. Giving up. Letting go.

She no longer cares of the obscure notion of a so called end. She has come so far, yet has reached nowhere.

Hope and purpose were cruel lies.

Sinister jokes which have brainwashed her for far too long.

This medieval portrait painting was created with Corel Painter, Adobe Photoshop, and a Wacom Intuos tablet using a combination of digital painting and photo manipulation.

Found Her Freedom

This is a surreal fantasy portrait of a barbarian woman who has been through a lot. Someone who has faced horrors and nightmares, and who has seen and endured the worst.

But she has made it through, and found peace at last. After so many years in the dark, she has found her freedom.

As she lay on the ground, gazing up at the clear, open sky, she daydreams of her future. She imagines all of the beautiful experiences awaiting her. 

She is happy, hopeful, and feeling truly alive.

She is finally free.
