(Digital painting, photography, and acrylic medium)

This is an original one of a kind work of art that has been printed on Hahnemuhle 310gsm photo rag using Epson's archival Ultra Chrome HD inks, and mounted to an acid free art board. It’s been hand embellished with professional grade GOLDEN artist's acrylic painting medium to give three dimensional brushstrokes to the portrait, Initialed and dated in acrylics, and varnished with Gamblin’s Gamvar non-yellowing and removable painting varnish. It was created using a combination of digital painting and photo manipulation based on my own photography.

Fearless

I've been doing a few photo shoots with some local models so that I can start basing my artwork on my own photography, and this is the first finished piece from the recent shoots.

I'm really liking the idea of my upcoming artwork being completely original and based from my own photos. Photography is in itself an artform, and I think creating this way gives my work a greater sense of depth.
